My white whale. I was asked to make one of these a year ago and it destroyed my spindle, this time round I've learned the technique. This client piece is a matching rail for a coffee setup, solid brass and all machine finish. Over time the brass will tarnish naturally with use and form a deep patina.
For something that sounds so simple, there were a lot of setups and individual pieces to machine for this. It really used a lot of the capabilities of my machine.
